Battle Room Empire ("the game") is developed and published by Tait Absher ("we"). This policy explains what information the game and this website handle and why. It reflects the game's actual implementation; if the implementation changes, this document changes with a new date.
The short version
- No ads. No tracking. No selling of data.
- The camera is used only on your device to detect your floor and room boundary for augmented reality. Camera images never leave your phone and are never stored.
- An anonymous player account is created automatically so your game can be saved online and you can battle other players' towns.
- You can delete your account and all game data at any time inside the game (Settings → Delete Account & Data).
Information the game collects
| Data | What it is | Why | Where it lives |
|---|---|---|---|
| Anonymous player ID | A random identifier created by Unity Authentication — not linked to your name, email, or phone number | Sign-in and saving your game online | Unity Gaming Services (Unity Technologies) |
| Game save data | Your town layout, resources, progress, and settings | Restoring your game across sessions and devices | On your device and in Unity Cloud Save |
| Public battle snapshot | Your town's building layout and "town power" score | Letting other players battle your town (asynchronous PvP) | Unity Cloud Save / Unity Leaderboards |
The game does not collect your name, email address, contacts, location, photos, advertising identifiers, or any camera imagery.
The camera and your room
The game uses the device's AR system (such as Apple's ARKit) to detect your floor and the boundary of your play area. All of that processing happens on your device. The game stores only an abstract outline of the play boundary — a set of coordinates — never images, video, or a visual reconstruction of your room. Your room's shape is never uploaded; the public battle snapshot contains only building positions relative to your in-game Town Center.
Third-party services
The game uses Unity Gaming Services (Authentication, Cloud Save, Leaderboards) operated by Unity Technologies to provide accounts and online saves. Unity's privacy policy applies to their processing: unity.com/legal/privacy-policy.
This website
- No advertising or cross-site tracking scripts. The site currently runs no analytics; if privacy-respecting, cookieless analytics are added later, this section will say so first.
- Newsletter/playtest signups store the email address you give us, your stated platform/content interests, a consent timestamp and consent-text version, and the form source — used solely to send the development emails you asked for. Every email includes an unsubscribe path, and you can request removal at any time at [email protected].
- Local preferences (like a dismissed announcement or an article-feedback flag) live in your browser's storage and never leave it.
Children
The game does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children. Accounts are anonymous and contain no personal data. This design will be re-reviewed against children's-privacy requirements (such as COPPA) before commercial launch.
Data deletion
For game data: open Settings → Delete Account & Data in the game. This permanently deletes your cloud account, cloud saves, leaderboard presence, and local data — immediately and self-service. For website signup data: email [email protected] from the address in question.
